Evaluations
Initial Speech & Language Screenings
More Than Words Therapy Solutions offers consultations inclusive of a brief speech and language screening to determine any risk factors for developmental delays or disorders. Screenings cannot determine a diagnosis but can indicate whether further testing may be needed. It may also be used for persons who have had a recent evaluation (i.e. within the last year).
Evaluations
We offer comprehensive speech and language evaluations to determine the presence of deficits in the area of speech, language, cognitive-communication, or swallowing. Evaluation sessions are typically between 60-90 minutes. It includes a client/caregiver interview, formal assessment of speech, language, and/or cognitive skills, and informal observations. We provide a written report of the results, clinical impressions, and recommendations within 2-4 weeks after the evaluation.
Please note: An initial evaluation is required prior to starting treatment in order to collect baseline data, establish therapy goals, and track progress.
